Some of the Cars & Motorcycles I Used To Own

My first bike, purchased from a fellow airman at Lackland AFB, Texas, a 1958? Maicoletta - German motorcycle maker Maico's entry into the motorscooter field, using a 250cc 'cycle engine and 4-speed transmission in a 'scooter frame; This isn't a picture of mine, which was custom-painted metalflake blue and had a removable windshield (I have no idea what the little portholes are, every image I can find on the 'web has them, but mine didn't)

1962 Triumph TR3; picture taken in my parents driveway, in 1963

The TR3 with the top up and side curtains mounted on the doors - an unusual occurrence, except in the wintertime (and not always then!)

1964 Honda 305 Super Hawk (at the time, the biggest bike Honda made); picture taken on my parent's front patio in Arnold, Missouri, in 1964 - I was about to leave on an 1,800-mile round trip to the New York World's Fair...I made the trip for about $16 in gas and a 2-quart oil change!

The Super Hawk was my second bike, purchased new from Mungenast when they were in downtown St. Louis

1960 Jaguar XK-150 Fixed-Head Coupe; picture taken in my front yard in Wilmington, Illinois, in 1967

Not as pronounced a "swoop" to the fenders as the XK-120 or XK-140, but beautiful, nevertheless - two years after making this car, Jaguar brought out the XK-E

1971 Honda CL-350 Scrambler; picture taken in my front yard in Barnhart, Missouri, in 1971
This was my third bike - I gave it to my son for cheap transportation around 1989, and he got the bike bug...he's on at least his fifth bike and, although he theoretically sold this one to another guy, it was never picked up, and is still in his garage in North Kansas City, Missouri

2019 Mazda Miata (MX-5) RF (Retractable Folding hardtop) Touring - first one delivered to a dealer in the St. Louis area,
and probably in Missouri; pictures taken in my driveway in Fenton, Missouri in August 2018

Looks somewhat like a 1960's vintage racing Ferrari

With the top down it looks like it has a Targa top

All the vehicles were, in order:

o Gray 1948 Pontiac straight-6 automatic (inherited),
o 2-tone blue 1955 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Coupe V8 with dual exhausts+ (a beautiful car, would be a hit at classic car shows today),
o Bottom-of-the-line 1956 Ford sedan painted Campbell's Tomato Soup red (no idea what Ford called that awful color) - I repainted it black,
o The Maicoletta scooter (see picture)
o The Triumph TR-3 (see pictures)
o The Honda Super Hawk (see pictures)
o Gray 1949 Ford,
o Tan 1961 Chrysler sedan with push-button transamission and the smallest V8 Chrysler put in their cars that year, but would out-drag any teenager's car in the Joliet, IL area (I took it into my local dealer once, saying it was cutting out around 85-90 mph...they looked at me kind of funny at the speed, but there was a stretch of highway between Wilmington and Joliet where I regularly did 100; turned out 2 of the spark plug wires were burned through, and I was only running on 6 cylinders!),
o Tan 1965 Chevrolet 4-door Impala coupe (which I later traded for the Jag, which I found on a business trip to Denver)
o White Jaguar XK-150 (see pictures)
o Blue (which I repainted black) 1966 Ford station wagon with dual-swing tailgate and a 390 c.i. engine, which somehow got only 10 mpg while delivering the power of a small 6-cylinder,
o The Honda CL-350 Scrambler (see picture)
o White early 1970's Toyota Corona Mk IV, which threw a rod 50 miles East of the Mojave Desert during a July 1974 family trip to Californis, and was towed back to Flagstaff the next day, where I traded it for a:
o Metallic brown 1973? Oldsmobile Omega (Olds nicer version of the Chevy Nova), which was bigger on the outside, but smaller on the inside than the Toyota,
o Yellow 1956 Chrysler sedan with push-button transmission (inherited),
o Black 1977 Chevrolet 5-speed Vega GT (great little car, but made out of tin cans and cardboard),
o Black 1984 Ford Escort (when I needed a cheap car, fast, to replace the clapped-out Vega),
o Black 1985 Honda CR-X (there's a very good reason they coined the name "pocket rocket" for these 2-seat 5-speed gems),
o Black 1988 Ford Mustang hatchback,
o White 1990 Honda Acccord coupe,
o Gray 1994 Honda sedan,
o Special Edition Red 1998 Honda Accord Special Edition coupe,
o Black 2002 Honda CR-V,
o Black 2007 Chevrolet Silverado LT,
o Red 2009 Mazda Miata Touring ragtop,
o Dark blue 2011 Honda CR-V EX,
o Soul Red 2019 Mazda Miata (MX-5) RF (Retractable Folding hardtop) Touring (see pictures)
o Black 2022 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition
